Rest in Peace Steve McNair

mcnairIf you frequent this site often you will learn that I am a die hard Tennessee Titans fan. Today the news spread fast around Nashville that our first professional superstar had been shot and killed. I was at a baseball tournament with my son and family. When the rumor came through the dugout my first thought was to pull out my phone and check Twitter. There was nothing being said at first so I thought it was just another rumor. Sadly it was not, and it quickly started hitting the mainstream media and Twitter and other social media outlets.

Steve McNair, even ending his career with our bitter rivals the Baltimore Ravens, was still loved by the Nashville community. He lived here and made his presence very known providing football camps and helping with numerous charitable foundations. He was always friendly with people in the community and will very much be missed.

Here is a shot of Steve at a baseball tournament in the Nashville area just two weeks ago.

It really is mind boggling having all of these celebrities die in such a short amount of time. I really hope this is it, but you have to ask yourself who is next? We’ve lost a celebrity and almost all categories now.

Music: Michael Jackson

Movies: Farrah Fawcett

TV: Ed McMahon

Commercials: Billy Mays

Sports: Steve McNair

So, what does that leave?

Politics: ???

That’s kind of eerie I know, but when will this end?
