Here is my first attempt at a weekly NFL recap. I won’t go indepth with every game because, lets be honest, some of them just sucked.
(3-0) Minnasota Vikings 27 - (2-1) San Francisco 49er’s 24
It’s games like these that give Brett Favre his NFL erection that will probably cause us another 7 months of off season teeter-totter over another retirement. Could Favre actually win the MVP this year? More of games like this could put him in those MVP talks for sure. With just under a minute and a half to go, down 24-20, Favre drove 80 yard’s ending with a 32 yard game winning TD pass to Greg Lewis. Let the retirement talks begin now!

(2-1) Cincinnati Bengals 23 - (1-2) Pittsburgh Steelers 20
Left for dead after the first half down 13-3, the Bengals scored 14 points in the 4th quarter to beat the ailing Steelers. Carson Palmer connected with Andre Caldwell with 14 seconds left to seal the win.

(1-2) Detroit Tigers 19 - (1-2) Washington Redskins 14
Detroit ended a dismal 19 game losing streak by defeating the Washington Redskins yesterday. The Lions first win since December 23, 2007 could be the nail in Redskins headcoach Jim Zorn’s Washington coffin. For the first time in a long time, fans in Detroit have something to be happy about.

(2-1) Philadelphia Eagles 34 - (0-3) Kansas City Chiefs 14
With Michael Vick finally being eligible to play, Kevin Kolb made the case that he wasn’t even needed. Kolb threw for 327 yds and 2 TDs with another TD on the ground. Vick saw the ball very little throwing twice with no completions and rushing once for 7 yards.

(3-0) NewYork Jets 24 – (0-3) Tennessee Titans 17
The Jets and Mark Sanchez are for real. Could Sanchez be the best rookie QB of all time? Laugh now, but his 3-0 start makes him the first rookie QB to ever go undefeated after the first three games of the season. The Tennessee Titans are the best team in the NFL that have yet to win a game. Seriously, I’m going to be a homer here and say that the Titans are easily a few plays away from being 3-0. Ha ha ha, I know, but unconfuse our secondary, put anyone on the planet that can catch a ball as our punt returner and we could be making Super Bowl plans.
