99 Yards. That’s how far the Titans and Vince Young had to drive with 2:37 left in the game in order to beat the Arizona Cardinals 20-17. The drive had 3 fourth down conversions, two to rookie Kenny Britt, one of which was the game winning touchdown. It was a record day for Young who had 387 yards and a touchdown on 27 of 43 passing. The only thing that could have made the drive better or more clutch would be doing it in a playoff or championship game.
The day didn’t completely belong to Young, Chris Johnson set a few records himself. Johnson became the first back since Eric Dickerson in 1984 to rush for 125+ yards in 6 consecutive games. He also set the most yards rushing in the month of November at 572, a mark held by Barry Sanders since 1997.
The win gave the Titans their 5th straight making them the first team ever to win 5 in a row after starting a season 0-6. The Titans kept their playoff hopes alive, but face the Colts next week in what could be a season breaker or maker.
