Here is the recap for week 9 of the NFL.
(2-6) Tennessee Titans 34 – (3-5) San Francisco 49ers 27
Chris Johnson strengthened his title as NFL rushing leader going 135 yards on 25 carries and 2 touchdowns. Vince Young had another good outing throwing 12 of 19 for 172 and no turnovers. Young also found the end zone on the ground with a 7 yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter. The Titans defense had a huge day picking off Alex Smith 3 times, one of which was returned 39 yards for a score by Cortland Finnegan, which essentially sealed the game.

(6-2) Cincinnati Bengals 17 – (4-4) Baltimore Ravens 7
Carson Palmer and the surprising Bengals defense continued to roll yesterday shutting down the aging Baltimore Ravens. Of course the comic relief in this game came when the Ravens challenged a 15 yard reception by Chad Ochocinco. During the review Ochocinco was seen pulling out a dollar bill while talking to the refs. Many believe that Chad was trying to bribe the ref to get his catch – child please, everyone knows that dollar was for the McDonald’s Dollar menu after the game.

(8-0) Indianapolis Colts 20 – (5-4) Houston Texans 17
Payton Manning continued his MVP season going 34 of 50 for 318 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Texans kicker Kris Brown was the story of the game however, missing a 46 yard field goal with no time left that would have tied the game.

(5-3) San Diego Chargers 21 – (5-4) New York Giants 20
The once undefeated Giants have now lost 4 in a row and slipped out of NFC elite status. The battle of mediocrity came to a climax yesterday when Phillip Rivers connected with Vincent Jackson on an 18 yard touchdown pass with 21 seconds left to win the game.

(6-2) Dallas Cowboys 20 – (5-3) Philadelphia Eagles 16
The Cowboys took sole possession of first place in the NFC East beating the Eagles on Sunday Night Football last night. Dallas WR Miles Austin’s only catch was a 49 yard touchdown that proved to be the game winner in the fourth quarter.
