Getting a drink at a crowded bar is nearly impossible without waiting 10 minutes and getting bumped into a dozen times. You can keep standing there and wait all night while managing to scope out every chick in the bar, or you can do something about it.
1. Throw Up Cash
Having cash in hand is always a quick way to get a drink. Just make sure you leave a decent tip or the next drink may never come.
2. The Infamous Hit Me
Make eye contact and tap the bar. Simple and to the point.
3. Charades
Make the movement. Either you get what you want or you look like a jackass.
4. The Empty Bottle
Show the empty bottle or glass accompanied with money and your golden.
5. Send A Woman
If all else fails send the most attractive girl your with. If your not with a girl maybe you should practice getting a drink faster. Your not the only one offering drinks and time is precious.

i’m a bartender have been for years all those are crap in fact when we’r rammed and serving the last thing we want is some jack ass holding out cash, its rude and more than once we’ve taken money out of peoples hands but it on the back bar and told them to wait. best way to get served is to stand just left or right to the center of the bar to get the best coverage and attention from tenders and stay polite trust me if we have a bar full of ass holes shouting hit me or holding up glasses demaning more we’ll always go for the nice guy, after all they tend to be better tippers. Finaly its a myth that bartenders serve girls more than guys, guys spend more, tip more, ask for less free shit and are more likely to sleep with you than any girl. girls are a pain in the ass and why would we want to send a good looking chic to dance with some other guy rather than beg for our attention, make sense?
anyways get a barjob before you start getting all ‘expert’ about what we respond to.
I’ve read repeatedly that waving cash at a bar is rude and a good way for a bartender to ignore you. That seems like common sense, that’s a pretty ‘tool’ thing to do. In fact, I don’t think any of these are legitimate ways to get drinks other than maybe send a girl… but the bartender would probably need to be male in that case.
Follow these tips and you always be waiting for something drink.
